P2065 & P2402...Fuel Sensors/Tank/Pump/Etc
I read what I can find, no instances of these codes together though.
P2065 (Fuel Level Sensor 'B' Circuit) people have said often is a sign of HPFP issues. Code has been showing up for a while now. I've also always had a touchy fuel indicator though, i.e. dash sometimes reading incorrect vs actual fuel level.
P2402 (DMTL lead diagnosis pump, control activation: Short circuit to positive OR DMTL Activation Control Circuit high) code just showed up two days ago. Replaced gas cap, not the problem.
Curious if anyone's ever seen these together, and has any ideas before I start throwing parts at it. I have also occasionally seen P144B which has something to do with fuel level/consumption correlation being off, this showed up after going catless and tuning. Have not seen that code in a while. Every time I clear the codes, P2402 comes back along with P2065, each time. All together I could see how it could be the HPFP, or could just be a combination of a faulty sensor reporting the wrong info, and coincidentally the DMTL pump went out. I just want to see if anyone's ever run into the same combo.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the car runs fine. No signs of fuel delivery issues...

I have never dealt with P2402 but I had a CEL P2068 code (fuel level sensor B circuit high) diagnosed by the dealer and they had to replace a faulty fuel level sensor (no kidding).
I think a new fuel level sensor is about $90 IIRC and the dealer took about 1.5 hours to replace it, so it might be something worth trying if you are out of options and would rather not go to the dealer since you're out of warranty. I don't think HPFP problems would cause that code and also cause the fuel level discrepancies you noted. I'll say that when the CEL came on I didn't have any fuel delivery problems either, I think the only symptom was that the fuel gauge read slightly higher than the actual level.

Thanks. Hopefully it boils down to just Sensor B and the DMTL pump. Given the rise in the cost of the HPFP I'm really, really hoping it's not that. It's depressing reading these old HPFP related threads where the oem replacement was only a couple hundred bucks.
Well, in case anyone ever has these codes together, for me it was just a coincidence of the passenger Fuel Level sensor being bad, AND the DMTL pump being bad. Replaced the fuel level sensor first, that code went away, the DMTL related code stayed. Replaced the DMTL pump, no codes since then, ~300 miles in so looks like I'm good.
Parts added up to $275, OEM DMTL Pump, Vapor Canister Grommet and Passenger side Sender. Took me around 5 hours including the hour I took driving around after replacing the sender to watch for codes. And I was moving slow as I had no clue what I was doing lol. But, still no codes so I think that took care of it.
