I did an oil change about 2 weeks ago and I just had my valve cover replaced because of it leaking. I also know that the oil filter housing gasket is bad and the dealership wanted to charge me $900 for a $20 dollar part. During the oil change when I took the coolant reservoir off I noticed the hose leading from the turbo down into some cylinder looking thing is leaking. There is oil all over the top of the cylinder thing
In the picture I circled the hose. I didn't have much time to get in my car and get a good picture so I pulled this off of the internet. If you need more info I can try to get a picture asap.
Does anyone know what part I am referring too? And if so, is this a problem?
That hose is the air charge hose that comes from the turbocharger and leads to the intercooler muffler (the cylinder thing that you refer to). After that it goes to the intercooler and onto the intake manifold.
Actually I have the similar situation, plus oil mist near the connection from the charge pipe to the turbo everything after the drive. Want to get a better idea to what is going too.
