R56 New to mini but not to modding
New to mini but not to modding
Hey guys, newbie here. Looking for some input on the mods I am planning for a stock mcs. I realize I'm putting the wagon ahead of the horse here talking mods before the car is here (specifically 11-13 mcs), but I'd like a good game plan once it is in my garage.
For spirited street driving and very occasional auto x, I was thinking:
Manic stage 1
Swift spec r springs
lightweight 17" rims with sticky tires
From here I'm not sure if any other changes will really benefit me. Short throw shifter? Sway bars? Any issues I'll run into removing the 2nd cat? (No cels for that right?)
Most other things seem specific to hp goals, track use, and personal preference. But any thoughts on my first 3 mods, specific suggestions, advice?
I appreciate it! Coming from modifying mustangs and STis this is a bit different with different goals for me. I really just want a fun car that accelerates quickly, takes turns well, and sounds/looks good doing it...is that too much to ask
