2008 S Rotor Specs?
Hey guys,
Need to replace rotors and brake pads on my car. I'm choosing to buy after market online but I didn't realize how many size variations there are.
I don't feel like buying and then having to return, and unfortunately when I bought the car I didn't get a manual.
Any idea what the specs are for the front and back so I can write it down? I found another thread on here for an 07 but I wanted to be sure its not different.
I'd also love some recommendations- my driving conditions suck (half highway, half city so I'm really prone to rust and dust)
Thanks in advance

I had a 2008 S Hatchback and here are the products I purchased for replacing rotors and brakes:
Centric Premium High Carbon (125 series) rotors
o125.34101 front
o125.34094 back
-EBC Greenstuff 2000 pads
oDP21789 front
oDP21931 back
From the centric rotor pages you should get an accurate rotor diameter. I believe it's 294mm in the front and somewhere around 259mm in the back?
This combo is a good OEM replacement, I did run with this setup on the track but experienced a lot of brake fade so I wouldn't recommend them for track use. If you're just commuting and driving around town these work great.

+1 on the centric 125 high carbon rotors....used them on my gen1
The issue with having somany options is the gen1 cars overlapped the gen2 due the cabrio staying a gen1 for 2007 and 2008...and those were sold with STD, and JCW brakes...
The the gen 2 cars...the hardtops, with regular and JCW brakes....
Means you really have to do your homework....some sellers....er... Amazon, as well as some other sellers have crap for databases.....
For a good pad...
Low dust, I honestly like Akeebonoo pads....zero dust, with low rotor wear...no noise...very popular due to this, but NOT a track pad...
Did find if you babied them too much, they felt crap...but occasionally hard use kept them nice...
Many like the ebc reds for gen2 cars...a low dust pad that handles heat better than the greens...
Keep in mind when reading reviews, they were reformulated some years back when they became ceramic....some old reviews are still around from the old version...

WMW EBC Redstuff brake package for 2007-2012 R55 R56 R57 R58 MINI Cooper S, Clubman S, Coupe S, Roadster S, and Cabrio S. This brake package was put together for the owner wanting brakes that perform without breaking the bank. This brake kit will also cut down on brake dust significantly. The redstuff pads offer great cold bite for initial braking, and can also handle more heat during hard driving. Then we added good quality zimmerman rotors. They won't warp, and rust like cheap rotors, but still handle your braking.
These pads also have the slots in them for the OEM brake pad sensors to be used.
Kit contains:
1 set front EBC redstuff brake pads
1 set rear EBC redstuff brake pads
1 pair front zimmerman rotors
1 pair rear zimmerman rotors
