Thinking of adding Akrapovic down pipe, JCW muffler and resonator delete

So I am thinking of purchasing (off of here and I am sure he is reading this-haha) an Akrapovic down pipe for my 2013 MCS. I am planning on adding the JCW muffler and removing the resonator at the same time. My question is...I am strictly going for the sound of the exhaust being aggressive and throaty. Should I bother with the down pipe and the hassles of emissions? I live in Illinois. I have concerns about passing--is it just the light that needs to be off? Will anything else change about the car if I do all of this and not get a tune? I was planning on doing the Akrapovic delete R to get the light off (if it even comes on).

I am not very versed in all of this crap (I won't use the excuse that I am a woman because my husband does not know either).

I had the fJCW muffler for a long time before adding a downpipe and thought the sound was perfect. Then I added an iPE catless downpipe (I believe the Akra is 200-cell or 100-cell, so high-flow but not catless) for extra power and sound. I ran with it for around 2 months before selling the car and thought it sounded more raspy, but near the end I got real tired of the drone on the highways. The JCW muffler is great because it's still quiet when cruising on the highway but sounds way better when accelerating vs stock.

What I would suggest is going JCW muffler first and then see how you like it. Replacing the downpipe on its own is fairly easy if you DIY. Not sure about IL emissions, I owned the car in Madison where you don't have to get emissions tested ever . You might want to consider Manic tuning as well, it can remove the check engine light plus you get a lot more power.

A CanTool will code out the light. There just happens to be one listed for sale here on the board.
