Early vs late TPMS stem difference?

I recently picked up a set of R94 "Bridge Spoke" 16" wheels. They came with late style TPMS, so I bought a set of 433 MHz Huf orange sensors brought them to my wheel guy to install them. He called me shortly into the job and said he has having trouble because the stems provided with the Hufs were bottoming out. I looked and he was right. There's a shoulder on the Huf nut that prevents it from being tightened fully on the R94 wheel. To get the wheels done and onto my car, we decided to re-use the stems that were on the wheels. Everything went together smoothly without issue.

Is this an early/late thing? Something to do with the stems provided in the Huf orange TPMS boxes? Anybody run into this before?

Bump for this. I have the old TPMS that I'm going to sell, but I don't know whether to include the stems. If I do include the stems, it's almost like a mismatched set, so I'm unsure how to advertise it.
