If there are no mechanics in your area you trust with your Mini, your best bet is to start with the Bentley manual. It spells out all the special tools you need, sequence of things to do, and bolt torque specs with tightening sequences. For ordering parts, either use the vendors sponsoring this forum, or use the RealOEM web site --- http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select --- for the illustrated parts lists.
Its going to be a time consuming and expensive project. I hope you have the necessary mechanical experience, basic tools / equipment, and patience to wait for parts.
Go there, click on "Tech Info" tab at the top and then select the R56 articles. It's under Engine. This job does require some DIY skill so make sure you review it and feel that you're up for the job. If you need help with parts, please let me know and I can get a list together for you.
