MINI DRL on MINI with NO Fog Lights
Hello All,
MINI instructions read these The LED daytime running light retrofit is only available for cars with existing front fog lights (SA 520).
I saw some forum post that read some folks have installed them on MINIs with that have the position/parking light fog. Is this true?
I am guessing just need to get the Brackets for the front fog lamps 2 of part # 63129807305.
And I guess if I don't get my ECU programmed for fog lights, I just will have 2 options insted of 3, only DRL and Position Lights????
Any one out there know???

hello to all again..as i have told i own a mini countryman with NO fog lights..during friday i installed this kit of mini daytime running lights over my car..thanks to asilvafrompr..
i am going to give some information that may help some others with mini's with NO fog lights..
first of all you need for sure two plastic brackets (63129807305) to hold the new spots over your bumper..
second you can do it more easily if you lift up your car and your mechanic works down of it without taking tha bumper out...much much easier..believe me..
at the end i have to mention the obvious that we have less wiring cause of "no fog lights situation".. so to every new spot we install we make TWO taps and NOT THREE as the typical instructions says..with that taps you ll have full circle as DRL and half circle as new led parking lights..no coding no errors over the board computer..everything works fine!!!!
if you want fog lights also...THATS ANOTHER STORY..LOL
last information from me is that those two ungly tyre ups which are in the kit for the installation you can avoid putting them as the kit instructions says..you can use ONE of them putting it horizontally
the fuse box and NOT vertically of it.. ITS MUCH MUCH BETTER LOOKING when you put the unit of this kit next to the fuse box cause you dodnt see those two big ugly plastic tyre ups..
hope you understand me...
greetings from Greece..
