2009 r56 vs 2013 r56

I was browsing CL and found a recked 2013 MCS with 15k on it running perfectly for $3500 was thinking about buying it as a parts car since my 09 keeps taking a dump on me :/ not sure if it's the same engine though... Still newbish when it comes to these turbo engines I know mine is a n16 is the 2013 a n18? If so I'm assuming it's not compatible as a parts car for my 09? Thanks in advance!!!

The 2013 MCS should have a N18...
2009 MCS should have a N14....
a Cooper has the N12 then the N16...
The JCW S lagged a bit with the motor change..with the factory JCW.......

'09 Cooper is still the N12 and the '13 S is an N18. Can always use real OEM here to compare parts of different year MINIs.
