2007 Cooper Coolant Bleed Screws
Hi guys,
I'm sure this is a common thread, but I'm looking for the coolant bleed screws. The pictures I'm finding online don't seem to match my engine. I have a Haynes manual, but even the figures in there are different. I have a 2007 Cooper, non-s. Attaching a picture, any help would be great!

I believe there is a bleed screw on the thermostat itself. It's located directly on the thermostat housing and can be reached with a long screwdriver. Should only require about 3 turns to bleed. (See image below). It's by the temp sensor. Here are also directions on how to bleed the system.

It will have a Philips head on it and wedged down near the side of the head, when you use the philips don't screw it out all the way , about 3/4 to the top to bleed , otherwise the screw pops out and you can loose it in the engine bay. Done many of these.

Thanks guys, I finally found it! Only took 2 days of searching, and man do you have to be *directly* over it. The shaft it was down was no bigger than a dime, and very easy to miss.
All in all, bled the coolant line, the heater is back working, and the car doesn't seem to be overheating anymore. Thanks again for the help!

Glad you have it now. Done these many times personally , its down there a bit and you have to watch not to loose the screw the first time you unscrew it.
