Idling problems 2011 justa (Kind of long sorry)

Currently my car is at the dealer for the third time. The first time I took it in I was having problems with the engine misfiring while under load. The dealer changed the plugs and coils, it was found that the exhaust cam was 30 degrees out. This was reset and computer codes cleared. I only had aprox. 57,500 miles on the car and they got Mini to give me a good will repair, (Mini paid 95% I paid 5%) Kudos to the dealer for this!!!

I got the car back and had it about a week, it seemed to run ok, but then when I stopped for a light or had to wait at a stop sign the engine would drop idle suddenly then come back to normal. Then the CEL came on. I took it back and they cleared "adaptations" and more computer codes and I got the car back. They also said the timing chain was in tolerance.

Had it about a week and it started doing the same thing. I took it back and the shop foreman is now looking at it.

I have to say that I have had a loaner each time. Again, Kudos to the dealer.

I do not know the codes they cleared or all the work they did as the paperwork is in the car at the shop. My car is a justa with a manual transmission. Now has aprox. 58,000 miles on it.

Has anyone had this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I have an update, The dealer found the problem. It was the Mass air flow sensor. proper air flow, but the sensor was reading it wrong, and they covered the cost. I have a great dealer!!!! Checkered Flag mini.

Thanks to all who read my post.

Glad it was fixed. Not to many MAF's go bad, it does happen. Wonder if the MAF plug was bumper or damaged , it does stick out a bit.
