No matter which way you go we always recommend the dry filter option as it won't get any air filter oil in your MAF sensor which can make it read wrong or cause a check engine light.
Oh wow I like the looks of that for sure...
I would much rather go with the complete intake.
Does this do anything to the gas mileage either way?
Thanks for the link to....
There is also the K&N Typhoon system: Its a little louder / feedback then the closed box system. Estimated Horsepower Gain: 4.1 HP @ 5300 RPM from K&N. People have reported slight / marginal gain in gas mileage, but nothing major. : 692005TTK
Thanks ECSTuning... I'm really liking the DDM Cooper Intake option...
The dry filter and closed system is appealing to me. As long as it doesn't hurt my gas milage..
Is it possible to get any of these systems without a filter? I'm no fan of K&N, would prefer something more like an ITG. I'm not even entirely sure ITG makes the right size, but I don't see the point of buying a K&N I don't need/want.

We don't recommend the ITG as we have had more than I can count just fall apart into little pieces. And we don't want to suck that into the engine. Hense why we had the dry filters made for the intakes.

Sorry I'm a bit confused? I'm sure I didn't give you enough info.
I was looking at the DDMworks intake with the dry filter?
I believe thats what you guys originally said would be a great way to go.
My question was will I be ok in California being CARB compliant?
I hope this doesn't come across bad, thats not my intention at all. What threw me was your reply about the K&N?
thanks
I live in California, does it have to be CARB Compliant?
thanks
Sorry they are not CARB compliant, I could get another intake for you if you need that, but I like the DDM the best for performance and the dry filter.
As soon as I get the extra spending cash I'll send you an order for the DDMworks system... Thanks again

Its ok,
Was showing you the K&N and its carb compliant. That's all. So it gives you another option since you want a compliant intake.
