I bought this car in need of head work, the previous owner had a coolant leak that turned into her overheating the car. Since buying the car I've done a lot of work to it to bring it back up to running order.

List of work done:
Head was sent to the machine shop to be inspected.
Head was decked
6 valves and seats were replaced
All 16 valve guides and seals were replaced
OE head gasket
OE head bolts
All TTY timing cassette bolts were replaced
MINI chain tensioner
OE thermostat
OE waterpump
OE aftermarket radiator
Oil filter housing seal was replaced due to an oil leak.
Fresh oil change with Royal Purple and a MINI filter
NGK spark plugs
SP Performance brake pads front and rear.

The car runs and looks great aside from a handful of dents, but there is no paint missing, zero rust and the interior cleaned up rather well from when I picked it up. I drove it for a few days and netted 32 MPG city after the repairs. It rides great, no clunks, and is quite honestly a nice change up from driving a car on a stiff suspension and manual trans with a Borla exhaust, I would keep it as an around towner if I wasn't looking to buy a house in the next year.
