R56 Adding a sub to the Harmon Kardon system.
Adding a sub to the Harmon Kardon system.
Is it possible? A while back I tried to add a sub to a Bose equipped Grand Prix and I barely got enough signal from the rears to make the speaker hum, but found out that a Bose system has an odd ohm load, like .22 or something crazy.
Is the Harmon Kardon stereo the same in that aspect? If it is is there a way to change the ohm load? I'd like to add a 10 or 12" sub but keep the factory everything else cuz it's dam decent the way it is, I just want a lil more bass. I know how to splice into the rear lines and run a converter, my question is what do I use for a remote wire? Go into the fuses and pick one of those circuits?
Also, does anyone recommend an enclosure/manufacturer?

I don't have the Harmon Kardon system but do want more bass too, so I've been looking at this which seems to be ok at fitting under the passenger seat.
