Hi all
I've tried searching for this topic but couldn't find anything.. I recently bought t10 led bulbs with built in resistor from theretrofitsource.com and I don't get any bulb out error and the light is also really bright but the only thing is that when I turn on the car the leds flash really rapidly as if it looks like a police siren. I've researched around and found that the reason it does that is just because it's checking the bulb to see if it's working. ( this can only be seen on LEDs and not on the regular halogen bulb) I was wondering if these bulbs from ecs tuning would do the same thing or not. http://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2012-Cooper-R56-Base-Coupe-L4_1.6L_N16B16A/Lighting/LED/ES2684738/
If anyone has bought he same exact pair of LEDs could you give some insight on them? Thanks!
You can always disable the bulb checks using the program NCSExpert. The startup bulb check is called the "cold" check or kaltue in German.
If you don't feel like going through the hassle of buying the proper cable and learning the program you might be able to find someone in your area to help. I'd be happy too if you're in the Raleigh, NC area.
Hi cerenkov, i`ve been trying to learn this programming thing of ncsexpert but to me it seems very difficult and i really do not want to damage the car. Would you be able to help me either via remote or just pm`s.
I do have everything set up in the computer but i just quit not understand the procedures or maybe i am too scared to do something bad that i will regret it.
They will do the bump check, just a couple short flashes on start up , then on strong and no flicker. No bulb out errors also. Yes does look like a police car on start up.
