RSB Endlink Hex Stripped

Any suggestions for this? Thought it was a 5mm hex but didn't seem to fit quite right and I've pretty much rounded out the inside of it.. anyone else do this before?

If you have a set of Torx bits, you can probably hammer one that is a little larger into the hex. You will have to replace it though, but this will help you get it out.

Thanks - can you or anyone confirm that it should have indeed been a 5mm hex? I couldn't fit even a 5.5mm in there

Well, not sure what your working on, but if you are working with a Standard Allen instead of metric, it would be like this. 4.5mm, 3/16in., 5mm, 5.5mm, 7/32in. So if a 5.5 was too big, then it should have been a 5 mm if a 5.5mm didn't fit. Sounds like a wallowed out 5mm.

To get it out, try a T30 Torx to start, if thats too big, try a T27.

There are a few options. You can cut a slot into the end of the threaded part of the endlink and use a flat-head screwdriver to hold it while you undo the nut. I'm guessing that won't work though if you stripped the allen center. Next up is grinding two flat spots on opposite sides of the threaded part and clamping a big pair of vice grips on it. If that doesn't work I've typically destroyed the threaded part of the endlink at that point so I just cut it off with a cutoff wheel and replace it.

i think right now i have like one more time I can get it out, so I'm not too concerned about that just yet - I guess I'm wondering what you guys have chosen to go - aftermarket or stock again? I'm pretty disappointed the stockers stripped so easily, it's not like I put a huge amount of force on it
