Shift lever loose

My r56 shift lever has alot of play in it I don't know if something is loose or worn I can't seem to find anyone with this problem !! Any suggestions? My car still runs smoothly and goes in to gear but it feels like I have a "long shifter"

I noticed mine seems to have a lot of wiggle in it when in gear. I'm thinking of buying a short shift kit and hoping it eliminates this feeling, but I fear a worn bushing (?) may be to blame.

Here's the entire shifter base. Or technical the gear shift lug. Not sure if any of the bushings can be purchased separately.
