Though turbo was cutting out, but could it be sport mode glitch?

Hey all,

I have a Countryman but there is way more action here and it shares the exact same engine, so here it goes...

My 2015 has 2500 miles on it and since around 1000 miles every other time i drive, about 5 minutes into it the power cuts out for 30 seconds and i have what feels like zero turbo boost. Then it just kicks back in all of a sudden. I have no check engine lights and no fault codes. otherwise car drives brilliant. I was thinking it was turbo related.

So this morning it happen again on the way to work. when i got in the garage i parked, then turned the car back on to switch spots without turning on sport button. As i drove the car had that sluggish feel that happens everyday for 30 seconds during drive. Could it be a glitch with the sport mode and thats the power loss I'm feeling? Anybody heard of this?

thx

I doubt it. Sport mode isn't going to cut boost so significantly that you're car is sluggish. Your car is presumably still under warranty, so I'd suggest visiting your local MINI dealer. You may have a pending code that hasn't illuminated the check engine light.
