R56 Footwell lights

Footwell lights
Went to change my footwell lights tonight in my R56 Justa and I got the plastic cover off the piece and to the bulb however the base of the bulb is in a plastic piece and you can't get your fingers on it to pull it out. Anyone changed these bulbs out before and have a better method?
