Fuel filter comes with two rubbers cant find second place

Im having a blonde week, so excuse my 101 questions today.

Changed the the fuel filter but for the life of me could figure out where the second rubber goes

Does on go next to the whitel plastic and then the other on top of it?

in other words next to back of the yellow arrow

The factory repair manual has you remove the filter assembly housing from the tank. To remove the filter housing you have to go into the other side of the tank and release the fuel lines from the fuel pump housing. Second seal is not needed if you don't pull the other side. I ended up pulling both sides and removing filter housing from tank as I simply could not get the housing to unscrew. The factory manual doesn't really explain the gasket replacement, the smaller lip of the gasket goes down into the tank around the tank ring(this side down written on gasket). The larger lip lies flat against the top of the tank. If you just lay the seal on the top of the tank you will have hell to pay trying to get the metal locking ring to catch. The locking ring will go on with no problems if you have the gasket seated correctly.
