I just purchased a 2007 Mini Cooper Non-S model thinking it would be an easy fix. I purchased it with 102k miles and it would crank and not start. Battery and starter work great, engine has good compression, good spark and I believe it is getting fuel. When I removed the plugs they were soaked in fuel so I dried them all off and scoped the cylinders only to find more fuel sitting on the top of the pistons. I have checked all the relays and nothing helped.

The fuel does smell bad however the engine won't even start on starting fluid so I have yet to pump the fuel out of the tank and replace it. I purchased a k+dcan usb-obd2 cable and have hooked it up to my brothers INPA and EDIAbas and it will not connect, it won't even connect to my Innova OBD2 reader and it won't establish a connection.

Also when I put the key in the ignition the radio, wipers, windows, and lights work however the ac/heat do not come on. Is this normal?

What could this be?
