FMIC Installed,Hot side Delete!

Ok! First Mod installed! FMIC ! Check!

Hot side Muffler delete Check!

Evolve DP Catless DP this weekend soon to be a check!

So The Muffler thingy hot side! Why is this there anyway? Fuel saver?

The difference I had found is the engine is not so edgy when down shifting
which is nice and smooth, Turbo spools much quicker and smoother. Nice! and the FMIC of course doing its job!

Many more to come..So far so good for the Mini S coming from an Audi TT..

Just my two cents!

Now maybe that Baffle Hot side Cylinder we all Delete was there to keep water and moisture out of the Turbo! It is close! Unless these Mini's don't pull that hard?
Just a thought!

Cat-Less Evolve DP Installed...saved the heat shield...few minor modifications...but all in all fits well..no check engine light for a day...
now on but whatever....Tune next..

Not as loud as I expected...but still have the two resonators on and the back cat...so maybe take one off...

The muffler is AFTER the turbo so I'm not sure how it could keep water/moisture out.

I think the general consensus is that it is a noise muffler to get rid of some of the turbo whine. I know that my turbo whine got louder after I removed it.

Anyone notice any significant drop in intake temp after the hot side muffler delete?

Why would you expect a change in inlet temps?

The "hot side muffler" is not related to the cooling of the in take charge.

All it does is allow noise to bounce out of the intake pipe into a muffler.
