service mode studs

Sorry, did a fruitless search and Bentley is literally in the mail.

How do I source the 8mm? dia studs needed to put the front end in service mode? R they easily available or shall I hand craft?

Are you asking if you need to buy 8mm studs to put the front in service mode? Because you shouldn't need anything. After you slide the front forward you use 2 of the existing lower bolts to secure it in place.

You can use 8mm x 100mm bolts, got mine at home depot. See girls guide to bumper removal on this web site. Posted by gerldoc.
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:

1) Metric socket wrench set – and a 3 or 4 inch extension will be very handy for this particular task.

2) Jacks and jackstands/ramps.

3) One size 30 Torx bit and driver.

4) Phillips and slotted-head (the regular kind) screwdrivers.

5) Two M8 x 100mm hex-head bolts, or a set of the Mini engine extension pins.
