Wiring Issues P0073 Where do these wires go?

Hey guys. I have a 2009 Mini Cooper S that recently was in an accident and the front bumper got ripped off. So now I'm getting the P0073 code. Ambient Heat Temp Senson and my temp is at -44. I purchased a sensor off ebay and installed it on the right side of my bumper(passenger side), connecting it to the Black/yellow wire and solid black/brown wire. And this still doesn't work for me. I erased the code with my scan tool and it still comes back. What color wires does the sensor need to connect to? I also have a set of blue/red and brown wires that are just hanging there. I thought these might go to the horn?

The outside temperature sensor connects directly to the tach, and according to the wiring diagram one wire is black w/ yellow stripe (wire AT+ below) and the other is black w/ brown stripe (wire AT- below).

So it looks like you got the wiring correct.

And yes, the red w/ blue stripe and brown wires are for the horn.

If the polarity doesn't matter, then the sensor I purchased must be faulty? Ill borrow my brothers from his 330ci and see if that works. Thank you.

Thank you sir. I got it figured out. The pins on the connector were bent so there was no connection being made. After modifying the sensor a bit i got it to read correctly. Thank you!
