Installed the MINI puddle lights

Just got these from Way Motor Works for 35.00 shipped. Took about 5 min each to install and they look pretty cool. I was suprised how bright and detailed the lighted Mini logo looks on the ground. These are also plug and play.

I gather from the images that there is no surrounding light? Does the projected logo still provide the light output that the puddle light put out? Ie so's I don't fall on my face exiting the car onto ice (I failed to see) at night...
Otherwise - I WANT!

The Mini logo is super bright. The photo does not do the logo justice. I will take LED bulbs over the very hot halogen any day. I changed all the clear lens bulbs to led. Way Motor Works had these to me in Cali in 3 days. If you order these you wont be disappointed with this cool little mod. Super fast shipping.

It's the light on the bottom of the doors that illuminate the ground when the doors open.

I got ones from ebay that are sold by a company called Wind Fire Auto. The cool thing about these is that I can change the logo in them and even get a custom logo created.

http://www.windfireauto.com/

Pretty cool idea to be able to swap them out.

I see on your website that in the pictures of this product, there is a circle around the logo. Is there any chance that if I order these that it will have that circle? I love these without the circle but I'm not a fan with it.

NOTE: these no longer have the ring around them, they are just the MINI logo Lights carry 30 day warranty.

I wish it still had the ring. Actually like the BMW logo the best. MINI needs some color.

Once the door is open, its no longer a puddle light, its a courtesy light.
Puddle lights are at the bottom of a mirror, and light when unlocking the door.

Will the go in place of the OEM puddle lights?

I take it, that is what you meant by Plug and Play.

If they do, I might just have to do this too.

EDIT: Never mind! I see they aren't for the R53. Pfft!

That's why I got the wind fire ones on ebay, same price and have 3 logos and I may get the USMC EGA as well. The wind fire also have a cover over the LED where as the WMW is open to water intrusion. And for same price.

I'm not sure if you can even change the logos on the ones WMW sells. And you know MINI folks love to change our cars.

I'd like to get custom ones showing this London Underground "WAY OUT" sign:

OR the ubiquitous "Mind The Gap"

Yes they are plug and play on R53s with factory puddle lights.

Open to water intrusion? The front lens of the WMW puddle light is sealed.
