Missing Hoses?

Hi all. Just bought a 09 S and as I was replacing the M7 intake with a K&N I found these hose ports. Not sure where they go or if they are supposed to be open...?

Hose coming off intercooler piping. Has a plug on the inside but not sure what it's for.

Nipple coming off the back of the intake.

The intercooler piping was made to match up to the factory "noise maker". Most people who make a mod in that area will get a part with that deleted from the design, or find a way to block it off (like your car). I wouldnt worry about that.

As for the other, I'm not sure. Haven't looked into it. I'm sure someone will chime in, I do remember someone else asking what it was for some time ago...

Looks like a Factory noise maker for the cabin deleted or caped off.

Up to 6/2010 The Cooper S and JCW models had this " Sound genrator " T section with #10 , 13 and 16 which would reverberates the sound through a diaphram in #13 into the cabin from the intake past the turbo. Then MINI dropped it.

Common delete, just make sure its sealed.

I believe that nipple is not used on the back side of the intake manifold . Should be sealed on the inside.

Thanks for the diagram, very useful. After doing some probing it does seem that the nipple is sealed. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a valve that needed to be recirculated somewhere. Thanks!
