$650-$290=$360 you have now got rid of your cel and you could look at it that your tune cost you $360.
A little confused there... I am running the JB+ tune. So are you saying buy the delete R or buy a whole new tune plus delete R...

You can put spark plug non-foulers on the second O2 bung, it spaces the O2 sensor away from the exhaust flow and fools it into thinking there is less O2 after the non-existent catalytic converter. It is temperature sensitive, so you have to insulate the second O2 sensor and the non-foulers, keeping them hot, for it to work.

Here's a link with pictures on how to do it.

Sorry didn't realise you had the JB+. I could do you another calculation of delete r plus JB+ compared to a tune vs HP gained but its a bit late for that since you've already bought thebJB+. And I'm pretty sure that fouler thing won't work on MINIs.

Can't find the thread, but there's a NAM member who did the non-fouler mod and it worked for him, he mentioned the insulation to keep it working in cold weather.

I've read this before on some other threads... However I really don't feel like Jimmy Rigging my Daily Driver. Plus I feel My MINI deserves beter than this, LOL... I checked Google for N18 Turbo Tunes and all I got was #1: JB+
#2: NM, I have there Intake but here is their info on there ECU/DME Flash;

Notes:
Dyno chart reflects wheel power.
25-30 HP and 30-35 Ft-lbs gain on stock engine. Intercooler is needed for Stage 2 which will produce additional 20-25% power gain.
91 Octane or higher fuel required!
We DO NOT override check engine light/fault code produced by low-grade catalytic converters.
ECU needs to be sent to us for the procedure.
Price includes return overnight shipping.
While the ECU is removed from your vehicle, DO NOT turn on the ignition.

Pretty much what I get from JB+, still does not solve CEL issue, and I'm sure a flashed DME voids warranty.

Any other NAM members running a solidified solution to this. I'd hate to think I have to delete my CEL every 50 miles or so...

Thanks for offering insight. I look forward to upgrading to a full tune later but not while under full warranty.

I guess your best bet is to wait for manic tunning that's if its real and not just some urban myth. They supposedly can write the entire ECU through OBD but if your ECU has a flash counter your warranty might go bye bye as anyway.

at whole thread

Just read through all those threads... Sounds awesome, but I am skeptic, so I will wait it out. Until then, Terry, program the JB4, market it, and let it be tunable to be receptive to intake/exhaust variable DME compatibility... I.e. no CEL Opt!!!

Laters All....

Battle/DNA Tuning is supposedly coming out with a OBD2 flash tune for the N18 shortly. We'll see.

I have a feeling the the JB4 for the MINI will never be available. There is no market unlike the BMW's. It might be different for the new F56 since it is a BMW engine.
