Pretty sure it will get totaled out. The frame support there mangled.

08 with 60k miles.....we won't be able to get another one with the same options as this one if this ends up being the case.

That's a bummer!

It doesn't look like damage that would total it though. But I can't see what's under the hood.

I just went through the "totaled car" experience and I hated it.

If they do total it, you could always buy it back and get what you want off of it and sell the rest. That's what I did.

actually, the front fender is what got mangled the most.

WWhat part is that big freacking plastic bit that seems to go across the entire front of the car right by the bumper supports? that is cracked..

other than the above part...I could technically replace everything myself I think if that is what it came too, just be a lot of money in parts.

My car had similar but slightly less damage when I did not quite manage to avoid a VW that stopped dead in front of me. The plastic cross-member was also broken on mine.

I think the repair turned out to be less than $3K in total, including a new headlight and hood.

So don't give up on your baby yet!

Here's hoping your MINI is able to get bandaged up and can motor on. Until then, take solace in the new badge you earned:

well, she isn't totaled, $4100 dollars though.

only thing I don't really like about the estimate is that they are going to just repair the front right fender and not replace it. For how it was bent and contorted, I would be amazed if they could pound that out and make it look good. I have to talk to them about that tomorrow.

Most of the parts are new luckily though some are coming from LKQ, like the hood, so I hope they are of quality. I also want to see if they will get a new OEM bumper cover and spoiler and not use Aftermarket ones.

Also kinda crazy that they need to remove the radiator and AC condenser to get the stupid big *** radiator support replaced.
