Alternator

2010 cooper s here. Got my battery tested and they said it's the voltage regulator. I have been looking all over and can't find any write ups about replacing the alternator. Can anyone point in the right direction? Hope it doesn't involve a shop or mini. Thanks for reading

Still looking but haven't found much. From what I have seen the front needs come off. Am I right?
