cel help!

Has anyone ran into code p112b? Came on yesterday I keep reading different information

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Minimum Temperature Implausible

Replace the coolant temperature sensor and it should resolve your issue

Thanks! Would this cause any other codes? I noticed my fan was on for a long time after I shut off my car like it was running hot but I was not driving hard and it was 13° out

The sensor is a great place to start but have you checked your coolant as well?

Yea it all started after oil change when I took out the coolant tank I spilled some coolant forgot to top it off then next day cel cam on so I remembered and I topped off the coolant

I'd just clear the code them and pray. Sometimes cars have hiccups I've noticed. And these Minis are temperamental cars. Probably why I love them so much.

That's what I'm hooping and I know i had an a4 before this so I know all about the car being temperamental

Cel is gone just got in my car for lunch. after I added the coolant must needed to do a few key cycles and no more cel

Good to hear man. I'm going to top of my coolant now just to try to prevent mine from throwing a CEL.
