Well at first when inspecting the distance between two shafts I looked at the small spring and thought to myself, "Well ****". But I suppose it was dumb luck that I decided to hook the top mount first, compressing part of the spring by pinching one thumb and finger halfway, and then manning up and dealing with the pain of pulling the rest down to the bottom mount. Attempt no. 1 success. Well hey no pain no gain right? I was just annoyed that the spring snapped in the first place. The pedal felt much better after the replacement was fitted.

But now you've got me curious, what are these bushings you speak of? My clutch pedal feels fine to me, but I wouldn't mind making it feel even better if it's still worn out at the bushings.

Your local dealer or ESC Tuning will have these plastic bushings. There's one of those on each end on the clutch pedal, need two of them.
