LED lights

I installed ziza bulbs in the parking and license plate lights today, everything working fine. Installed superbrite LED turn signals in the front (can bus), they work fine. I then installed the same kind of bulbs in the rear turns, they are hyper blinking. What is up with this. Can I get an LED flasher.

There are digital flashers available, but I don't know about a Mini application. I installed one on my Suburban and it works great.

What exactly is the point of changing out any of the turn signals to LED ??

Canbus LED's for our cars are to eliminate the error code we will get without them. You don't get enough resistance to use them on their own without getting hyperflash.

The turn signals work inline. So you probably got lucky when switching out one turn signal to a canbus LED and still having your rear factory signals. However, the canbus LED's alone won't create the resistance you need. Resistors are standard, and recommended, for just about any vehicle (not just MINI's) to prevent hyperflash.

It would have been nice if our cars had led lights. I like the instant on/ off.

I had a special LED flasher on my WRX, it worked fine. I wanted to know if there was one for the Mini.

I don't know if there is a flasher available for our cars. Either way, the load resistors accomplish the same thing and are installed parallel to the positive and negative. A little more work. They are the only components I've ever seen used by professionals for the LED turn signals.
