Need some help reading a code (2B53) for long term issues.
Hey guys,
So my CEL came up with the code 2B53. According to my local shop it has something to do with the throttle body and that it will have to be replaced.
The thing is, my CEL has been on for a whilenow, and every time i take it to the shop, they find AN issue like UNMETERED AIR, HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP, "fix it", but the CEL keeps coming back.
So what they have done to the car so far...
-Fixed a Vacuum leak, CEL came back on 20min later
-Walnut blasted the valves to clean up buildup, CEL came back on 20min later
-Now the car is throwing code 2B53
Any ideas?
Thanks

That code can be caused by 100 different parts or just any vacuum leak. We've also seen it caused by failed turbo, failed diverter valve, pinched vacuum line to turbo. So make sure with your diag. Never seen it caused by carbon build up.
