Exhaust question
So I'm buying the FJCW muffler sometime this week, I gave up searching for someone cause I'm not driving to different states unless it's Indiana or Ohio lol.
My question is, should I stick with the 2.5" straight piping which will be sleeved to fit the FJCW muffler or go back to the stock piping 2.25"? Does it even matter at this point? Thanks.

Good luck with fitting, I agree that you should stick with the straight pipe that you have and figure out how to make it work. You will likely be able to insert the 55mm pipe into the 2.5 and weld it, or you could take a section of the old pipe and weld it into the 2.5" pipe. Then you can use a band clamp to connect the front and rear sections, if you don't want them hard welded.

I was unable to meet up with the seller on my trip, so I'm still looking for one.
Enjoy your car and your vacation.
Have fun,
Mike

DotheDew,
I would do some searching, I bet that most guys eliminated the resonator and/or second cat when installing their MCS. JMO, but the 2nd cat is probably pretty restrictive, so I would think that any sound improvement would be minimal with just a muffler change. Like I said, I don't have any experience with this, just a thought.
If you are having a length of pipe cut and welded, it is just as easy to make it a little longer and eliminate one or both of the other factory parts.
