Sport mode

Is there any way to make Sport mode the default setting so I don't have to push the button upon each start up?

lol. why support minimania? $70!? What a joke. You can get it directly from FES or even Way for $54.95

i have it and it's an easy install. definitely a small but worthy mod.

What annoys me more than your Sport mode selection not saving when turning off the car:
-Fog light on/off selection. That has never been an every-god-damn-time feature in any other car I've owned.
-Power outlet only having power when car is in full-on position.

But I'm definitely not paying $50-70 to save me pressing a button right next to my shift lever when I start the car lol.

Was looking at that and yeah, even though I use it ALL THE TIME, its not worth it to pay that for a quick button press. I did however put in the sunroof one touch mod. THAT was annoying as heck since you had to KEEP the button pressed the whole time the roof was opening and closing.
That one was worth the 40 some odd dollars.

You can build your own:

I think mine cost about $10 in parts.

My understanding is that this method no longer works in the newer MINIs (maybe 2012+). I'm not even sure the units sold by FES, WMW or MiniMania will work.

I dont think thats the case, mine opens automatically if i press and hold the button for 1-2 secs, and the same happens if i want to close the sunroof! You have to keep pressing it to open?
