open your doors and you'll see it near the bottom of the door jamb. you can get to it by pulling the wheel well carpeting away from the fender some. you can get to it also by opening the hood and looking down where it is, its an emtpy area and I'd imagine wet leafs could make rust. if you have an air compressor that helps clean it too.

My driveway is under a canopy of trees, so I have this issue as well. I don't have a compressor and was recently wondering, myself, how the heck to get this stuff out??

I thoroughly clean and dry my door jambs every time I wash the MINIs. One of the biggest bang for the buck cleaning jobs you can do to keep your MINIs stay looking new. People get into my MINIs and can't believe one is 8 years old, another is 7 years old. Door jambs are one of the areas most people neglect.

your best bet is to push that wheel well carpet out of the way and pull it out with your fingers, pliers, whatever you can find. wear a glove. if you turn your steering wheel might be able to get the tire out of the way.

Yeah, I get leaves down there too. Seems the engineers would have noticed this...
