Auto Transmission Slipping at Highway Speeds

Approaching 25k miles on my 2010 Cooper S with automatic transmission and it has started to slip out of gear on the highway. I took it to the dealer to have it checked out under warranty but since it doesn't happen consistently they said there's nothing they can do. The problem occurs when going uphill on the highway. The car slips out of gear, the RPMs shoot up, and the car goes back into gear with a jerk?

Has anyone else run into this issue? I can't seem to find any other threads discussing this problem.

Don't give up. Bring it back to the dealer every time it happens. Eventually it will occur for them as well. I had intermittent stalling w my '10 auto. Took 3 months before it happened at the shop and MINI central could chime in. Turned out to be bad wiring at the trans control module under the hood.
