I'm a new S owner, I have noticed every so often when I start My Mini I hear this loud air/sucking noise it only happens for about 20 seconds then it goes away. Has anyone ever experienced this before with their S? No check engine lights or anything have come on. prior to this Mini I owned a 2010 Mini Base and I'm used to hearing strange noises,LOL!! Thanks in advance for your help...

 

does it have an intake? could just be hearing it suck in air. also check all your turbo tubes and intake tubes, you might just have a lose clamp.

 

I have a feeling it has something to do with the turbo. I have a K&N air filter.. The last time it was making that noise I opened the bonnet and put my hand near the intake hose and I could feel it pulling the air....
