Convertible (non infant) car seat -- what fits?
Hello!
There are a smattering of info here about what types of car seats fit and what types do not... Our child is 1/2" away from the height limit in our Maxi Cosi Mico infant car seat (which has been great, by the way!). I'm looking at several options for convertible car seat since she will need to be rear facing for a bit longer before we allow front facing...and have come up with Britax Marathon and Recaro Proride as front runners. I've read reports that the Britax Marathon will fit in the Mini RF and FF; how about the Recaro Proride? I hear it is tall so it may not fit so well in the back. The Mini will only be used occasionally but it still needs to work in a pinch. If anyone can share their experiences it would be greatly appreciated!

I am running into the same problem with my daughter and although i cant really say how the fit would be facing backward, i went with my 07mcs to the local rightstart and literally tried every convertible seat they had (forward facing) for my son. I loved the look of the britax and especially the recaro but when i actually got them in there the amount of leg room he had even with the passenger seat all the way up was terrible (although it would keep him from kicking the seat if he cant actually move his feet...). The one that actually fit the best was the diono radian rxt. I had never even heard of this thing but it was small yet very sturdy and he absolutely loved it. We actually decided that as his current brotax seats expire we are going to replace them with dionos. Hope this helps you out
