2007 R56 - Check Engine Light, fan seems to stay on longer after turned off

I just drove my car on a short trip, it was a short 5 minute trip to the Post Office, so my car was not fully warmed up. When I Started it back up, the CEL came on while leaving the Post Office. The temp is 32 degrees F today, so it is a colder day. Now, the fan seems to be running a lot longer than normal when the car is shut off. Is this something to be concerned with? Should I let it sit a while to see if the CEL goes away? Hopefully nothing else is wrong. I have the Oil Return and Feed lines replaced recently, but that is it.
