True, however I express overnighted it (Savannah GA-Cali $78) on Tuesday and had it back on Thursday. Not a bad deal.

Pretty much what a lot of people here say. After weeks and weeks of multiple calls and emails, and the tune not working at all in my car, the best I got was that my car was the culprit. I tried to get logs, and asked for help on what to do in order to identify the issue. Nothing back.

Tune and tool is about 850. Did nothing to my car.

I'm confused. Your sig line suggests you have an RMW tune.

Do you mean you saw no performance improvement at all?

Butt dyno says no, no difference at all, I wasnt able to get dyno logs tough. I tunned my TT and had some experience with other tunes in my current Mini, as Im in a local Mini club, and I know what it feels to have a tune.

But other tuners replied my emails and answer my questions such as Cobb and etuners, so I know that it wasnt the car.

Signature fixed, BTW,

Little late to this but you guys really crack me up. If Jan and the tuners
answered every lame brain call I hear about on here they would never get anything done. You all ***** about the price is to expensive to pick up 20 to 40 HP for $800 or $900 bucks! Really??? Try and do that with other bolt on parts and tell me how far you get! Then you want to change the car every two weeks and expect them to support you for free! Really? Tell me exactly how a company is going to make money doing all that for free? On an $800 purchase where they had to buy the device from a 3rd party, do their engineering work, create what you wanted and help you get it installed. Plug it in and enjoy people! 3 weeks later you add something else and you want them to create a new tune for you at no charge. Wake up people. Speed is money and no one is going to give to you free or cheap. Why? It doesn't exist. Time is money. You are custom tuning cars here and it is not cheap and a mistake can be very expensive.

The guy who had no improvement? Because you never got the program installed. I have worked with Jan on my 2011 JCW and he has been nothing but top notch. If you are a bonehead he is not going to waste much time teaching you the same thing over and over again or tweaking your tune for free. He is a straight shooter and you get what you pay for.
To be honest if I was stuck with driving a stock JCW I would have moved on long ago. Caymen S would the next choice or a Lotus Exige. Problem is then you back to trailering or need a chase truck.

I will say this about a 2011 JCW stock and vs. running a Jan Tune.
2 completely different cars. In Tune mode she is simply a beast. I never did a custom/dyno tune with Jan. It was a canned tuned and the car is fantastic. There is no need to really add anything in my opinion. Hard enough to hook up what I have. More wheels spin is just going to eat up tires. My car is stock with only Nitto NT01's at the track backed up by Carbotech X10 up front and X-8 in the rear. X-10 are hard on the rotors but brakes are not a good place to be cheap on the track. If I wanted the car faster motor would not be where I would need to spend the money. All about suspension now as more power might actually slow you down. Good luck and get real people.

You are forgetting a major player in the BMW/MINI market. Evolve Automotive. I have their Evolve-R tool, which is a OBDII-USB cable, with their software and have been DELIGHTED. If you live near a dyno facility they can do a remote tune but be ready to get up early in the morning since they're in the U.K. If you arrange something with them they'll most likely stay late in the office. They also offer a variety of pre-mapped "staged" tunes based on your powertrain modifications.

I haven't heard much from RMW regarding the Dimsport compatibility with the R56 platform. He's not the biggest lover of the R56 platform anyway.

One thing is for sure, Evolve has what you need today. Give them a call!

I am not a paid endorser for Evolve, I am just very happy for what services they have done for my R56 after waiting around forever in Detroit for some kind of glimmer of hope for a tune.
+1 on this. Evolve has worked well for me. I had a few car issues that I needed help from them to resolve but the software has been no problem at all.

They will support a custom tune as well.
