......even MINI knows the run-flats are garbage.
IMHO, the 2006 GP is still the better.

Again folks just my opinion, not trying to start a war here lol.
I would drive both GPs before coming to any conclusion about which one is better (if that can even be quantified).

I'm fine, I'm a big fan of the first gen. Actually almost bought a 1st Gen GP.
The drive, the raw feeling of R53's isn't even comparable to the R56's.
I mean I get better driver feedback from my R50 then I do my R58's lol.
But the build quality of the 2nd Gens is much better.

But I will congratulate anyone who picks one up as they will be limited in number!

Are the front calipers direct swaps from the 135i?

Well, i have a Gen 2 FJCW and just bought a Gen 1 GP... GP0808 with only 10,300mls... i was thinking about the new GP 2 but figured it was just too close to what i have so when I found this one i jumped on it.... it is awesome, best thing i ever did besides buying the Gen 2 FJCW…lol, I think I have the best of both worlds now….

Let's hope not. The 135i brakes have aluminum pistons and are known to have some issues withstanding high track temps.
