R56 To all the haters who said 300hp is not possible
I've been to this event and it makes for a very entertaing weekend . The AC guys looked like they really put some effort into their program and that is what some but not all teams do. The biggest differential here is with the drivers profeciency . AC went out and contracted Manfred to do the driving and before I would compare any mini to a Zonda time wise I think the drivers qualifications of that car should also be taken into account. This event has been going on for almost 20 years and if offers huge bragging rites to the european tuning community and some companies will leave no stone unturned to paint the best possible picture of their product while others just want to participate.

On the other hand, given the prestige associated with the event, I'd tend to assume that most of the drivers were pretty well practiced...
Pretty damned hot coupe - any way you slice it!
Cheers,
Charlie
Good point. I've beaten quite a few Corvettes on autocross courses over the years, and one or two Vipers. There is no substitute for practice...

The coupe looked good but I would have liked to have seen some footage from further back to see how well it was going relative to the other cars. When we were there Hamman was the only company running a mini it's good to see someone still pushing them along
We are on the same page but there is even a huge difference between a practiced driver and a true pro. I had my eyes opened when will turner whom based on your sig you must be familiar with took me for a ride in my car on the infield track at Cal Speedway. That was an eye opening experience .

"The Raptor also took the track at just .8 seconds behind the pace of a Pagani Zonda, which is one of the fastest cars in the world."
ALMOST!
"But how did their Raptor hold up in such a thick pack of thoroughbreds? The Raptor turned in a lap time of 1:11.6, beating both a Ferrari 599 GTB and a Porsche 911 GTS. The Raptor took the Porsche by more than a second."
NICE!!!
