Comfort Access Key "Hold Mode"
I took my MINI in for, among other reasons, one of the remote's buttons were not working. The SA noted that the car would start, but none of the buttons would lock/unlock the doors or the trunk. When I picked the car up, the remote was fixed. This is what the invoice said:
"transmitter was placed in hold mode, wherein buttons must be held in order to activate their functions rather than pressed briefly. ... Test plan removed hold mode and asked for verification of operation...."
My SA had never heard of this before. He verified with the mechanic that I did not change some setting to put the key into hold mode, nor could I have have fixed the remote. Nor would the buttons work if I held them down, as noted on the invoice.
Anyone else see this before?
