Agreed, there are a ton of color/trim options. Try to check out the various options at the dealer to see what speaks to you.

Yes. And the side mirrors dim at night.

The direction indicator in the mirror, I forget if they charged extra for that. I never look at it.

I've got a fully loaded JCW Cabrio but the items I am most happy about are:
-auto dimming rear and side mirrors
-adaptive headlights
-heated seats (I've heard some non-mini's have cooled seats!!! that would be sweet)
-Mini Connected (no nav - use my phone or...gasp...a MAP!)

These are the items I am so glad I ordered!!!
The other goodies are just fun fluff!
