Burning Clutch/Brake Smell

Hello all,

I have a 2012 MCS with 1,425 miles on it. I noticed right off that when I would pop up or open the sun roof(s) I would get a burning Clutch/Brake smell. If I roll down the windows I don't notice it as much. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or had their car serviced for this.

Thanks,

Mdun6

You should smell it after an autocross run. Tasty. Are you hard on your clutch/brakes? Neither seem to last very long in this car.

I have never had any clutch problems with any of the cars I've owned before and I am not driving it hard. You can even smell it while driving on the highway.

Agree here.

Even through breaking in a new car (or clutch or brakes) there shouldn't be a significant odor.

if your not burning your clutch from your driving style or if your new to manual, then i would have it checked out.
