Do you think a 18x10 wheel would fit in an 08 S if together with 255/35 tires?

No, not even close. You should do some reading/research in the wheel and tire section here and on motoringunderground.com.

You can have wide wheels (up to about 9") or wide tires (up to 235 series) but not both. At least with stock bodywork.

 

what about clearance on an 18x7.5 with a 215/35 would be easy?

 

No problem that is an easy conservative fitment.
