2009 justa, bought with 28k on the odo, after 1 year and adding over 30k to the odo, no problems, just RATTLES. due for brake pads and new struts. averaging 41mpg overall. wish it was quieter at highway speeds tho (thinking about dynamat).

I've posted before, but I'll chime in again: Despite MINI being at the bottom of Consumers Reports owners survey for repair, the Clubman (they don't separate S from straight Cooper) still has the highest reliability ranking. This kind of makes little sense, since the front half of the car is identical.
Anyway my Clubman, with the 118 hp N12 engine, is approaching 60k miles, and will be 6 years old in March. I've replaced the thermostat housing (as we all have), and nothing else has gone wrong.
I have a drivers door that doesn't work well, and most people who try to open it tell me that 'It's Locked', but even if it takes me two hands to get in to my MINI, once I'm driving, it's still heaven on wheels.

Just turned 36k on my 2012 Justa Hardtop. I love this car. Other than scheduled maintenance,it has not been in for repairs. They put front pads on at 36k miles, which seems strange to me and the tires are all but gone. Other than that, pure fun.

59K on a 2010 base cooper.

The only real issue was a failed ignition coil, which flooded the engine. Luckily that was under warranty. I can't imagine how much that would have cost if it weren't.

My sunroof rattles, but that's just a small adjustment to fix.

45,000 miles on my 2012 MCS

Just turned over 45,000 miles on my 2012 MCS...no issues so far.

Build date was 2/23/12...I took delivery in late March 2012.

Still just a lot of fun motoring...here's a pic from MINIs on the Mac, last August.

At what point do you MCS owners see a decline in power and performance when hitting 75k-100k+?

34.5 k - nothing much to report

I'm the original owner of an R56 - 2010 base model - stick. Right now, the odometer is at about 35.5 k. Still has the OEM clutch, brake pads, and battery.

Other than a set of tires at 22.6, and what it cost to upgrade the audio, I've not spent a nickel on anything other than gas, oil, filters, and wiper blades. I almost forgot - new rear view mirror - I thought the OEM cabin mirror blocked too much of the forward view, so I got a smaller one.

It's been back to the dealer exactly twice - both times for scheduled service, which was covered as part of MINI's free 3 year maintenance. The nearest dealer to me is about 200 miles away, so I'm hoping I'll not need one anytime soon.

Starting to get a few minor interior rattles, but that's easily fixed by turning up the new audio. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it coast-to-coast, starting first thing in the morning, on the twistiest back roads I can find.

Lifetime gas mileage is 36.2 MPG.

Just approaching 23k on my 2010 Justa. Rock solid motoring from my fun base model. Hoping it continues to do the same when I put on upgraded shoes.

85,000 miles here. The only item I do not consider a regular maintenance item which had to be done to Romy is the thermostat housing being replaced.

She has been a rock and really is getting better as she ages. Getting over 40MPG all the time now.

Awesome little brick, she is!

No longer a member of the Trouble Free Miles Club. Fell off the wagon at about 22,000. Between then and now (28,000) problems with software required all new, a leaking solenoid replacement included engine mounts, next was a cracked coolant pump and then blown exterior bulbs/fading dash lights...

2008 justa 57k mi

Bought it in October 2013 and had some flooding (more like soaked carpets) in my driver and passenger driver feet wells. Brought it back to the dealer and turns out my sunroof drains were clogged with pine needles and other stuff from the previous owner. After that, no issues.

Just recently replaced my water pump and serpentine belt two days ago, which from here is pretty common. Pretty happy with my justa.

I'm confused. You ask a question, then answer your own question? Where did you get that answer from anyways?

I asked those with over 75k-100k if they noticed a decline in power and performance. That's a pretty basic question, I could have worded it better.

I'd guess any car would lose power after that long, but maybe so gradually it's hard to notice? Seems the things that would go wrong either work or they dont so you'd know if something was wrong. Can these engines even go 75k without a rebuild of something major? They are highly stressed, undercooled and therefore engineered to fail after so many duty cycles (turbo models).

I have my compression test from last year and I'll compare it at future mileages, all were equal 155 psi which is really good considering a brand new engine might have just a tiny bit more. I wish I knew what compression is on a fully broken in N14 engine! I imagine it can't be more than 160-165 psi, most high compression naturally aspirated japanese engines are about no more than 180 psi.

Compression in the n18 should be ~165psi +/- 5%. This is of course new. 155 isn't bad at all for higher mileage.

I'm sure that a valve job would bring me closer to 160 psi with all the deposits that form around the intake valves. My MCS hauls butt for only having 52,000 miles! I use Royal Purple 5W-30 every 5,000 miles, with my West Marine extractor gets more oil out than by simply draining the oil, use my Red Line MTL and now my shifts are as smooth as slicing through butter! However I expected very dirty oil to come pouring out of tranny, instead it was very clean with zero metal flakes magnetized to the drain plug. Seems CarMax changed my tranny fluid when I bought the MCS last March. Still whatever was in there was pure crap!

2013 Cooper S. I have 15,000 miles on it so far with zero issues. I have changed the oil three times so far.

Bought a 2013 Cooper S A/T with 8k miles from the dealer, thereby listing me as the 1st owner. At a little over 11k miles I've started to notice that it goes thru oil pretty quick with hard driving. Other than that, no issues at all... runs really well.

We all notice increase in oil consumption when driving our MCS's hard, more oil turns to vapor with increased heat. I wish Mini would come out with some kind of an improvement in returning oil back into the oil pan for all of us! Lowering operating temperatures would nice also for which they have done to some newer models.

My trouble-free ownership ended today at 49,376 miles when my HPFP was replaced.

About 2.5 weeks ago, that 1/2 engine yellow light came on during my commute home. My MINI continued to run smoothly, no real symptoms, just with reduced power (no turbo boost) for the remainder of the 60-65 mph freeway drive to my house. Stopped / started, and the indicator went away

It wasn’t anything my ScanGauge could read, and with it running like a top otherwise, I decided to wait and see if it would happen again.

So last Saturday, I got the indicator again on another smooth, steady freeway drive. Hmmm. Guess I better schedule a time to take it in and see what’s up. Again, after a stop/start, the light went away, and it performed just fine.

In an out of the shop today with a diagnosis, and warranty repair, of a failing HPFP.

Mine ended 4 weeks ago :( Needed a water pump, and now a slew of issues are popping up...front crank seal which slopped oil everywhere, new belt needed, and belt tensioner due to oil and gunk everywhere (according to the dealer). Would also probably benefit from a valve cleaning. Starting to get the rattle which they won't cover because it has the updated tensioner. @100k. Can't complain too much I guess, although I'm still going to
