There is no oil temp sender. (or at least I've never seen one, and couldn't find one in any of the wiring diagrams....)

I have an Auterra DashDyno SPD, and it has no option to read Oil Temp/Pressure.

There is no option to read oil temp as part of the SC2 persets. Unless somebody has the hex code addy (x gauge) of where the ECU reads oil temp, you can't do it.

I didn't even know that the ECU had a means to read the oil temp.

This is what my perception was/is too. Now im interested in hearing from these people who do claim to read oil temp and how they get it via scangauge.

Just to go along with what jlevy said...the AP WILL give you oil temp. Don't know how or from where, but it does...and it seems accurate.

The AP will give a whole host of data that a lot of other OBD tools will not. It's almost worth its cost, simply for its datalogging capabilities.
