Got a yellow engine light, with an additional "item" at an angle over it.....

....on my Tach display. It then went away but the engine light on the speedo face is still on.

I looked at the Owners manual as well as a quick search here, but had no luck.

Anybody seen this before? The extra figure in the display is what threw me, it was like a can, or something (small display, not too clear as to what it was trying to illustrate)

I called the dealer service manager, he said it sounds like I got bad gas, to run it through and then fill up w/Shell or Chevron.

Yep, that's what he said.

Anybody here that can shed some light?

There's only two lights that I can think of that resemble a can. Oil and coolant. The oil can means your oil pressure is too low. The coolant one means the same thing -- it's low. For the oil, stop immediately and get oil to add to the car. The latter, next chance you get, immediately add coolant. Can you take a photo of the display and post it?

"Bad Gas" since when is a stinking light lit up on your OBC "BAD GAS"!! Really??!! I mean REALLY??!! You've got one seriously idiotic Service Manager...UUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!!

Did you notice any running issues?? Checked your Oil Level or Coolant Resevoir??
